• The keypad beeps but the gate does not move. This usually points to a failing relay on the keypad board or a loose wire at the control board terminals. The keypad is sending a signal, but the gate controller never sees it. We test this with a meter before condemning the part.
• Only some buttons respond, or you have to press them twice. Mighty Mule keypads use a membrane contact layer under the buttons. In Northridge heat, that membrane dries and develops dead spots over two to four years. The fix is a replacement keypad, not a cleaning.
