Signs Your FAAC Keypad & Intercom Repair Is Failing

• Keypad accepts some codes but not others. This usually points to worn membrane contacts under specific buttons, which is common after about five to seven years in the Northern California heat. The contacts corrode unevenly, and the most-used digits fail first. Our fix is a new keypad face or full unit, depending on which FAAC model you have.
• Gate opens from the remote but not from the keypad. Before blaming the keypad, we test for a broken wire at the gate hinge line, the single most common failure point on any swing gate in Northridge humidity. Rodent damage inside the pedestal is a close second.
• Intercom audio is faint, buzzing, or one-way. The speaker diaphragm in outdoor intercom units degrades from sun exposure and temperature swings.
